History

The Triple S Planning Commission was organized in 1961 by County Ordinance, the City of Shelbyville in 1963 and the City of Simpsonville in 1967 by City Ordinance's.  Therefore the name Triple “S” was derived.

Location, Hours and Meeting Information

The Commission office is located in the Shelby County Courthouse at 501 Main Street, Suite 3, Shelbyville, Kentucky 40065.  Office hours are Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  The Commission holds its monthly meeting on the third (3rd) Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the Stratton Center located at 215 Washington Street in Shelbyville.
